Active-Link Table with Connection Type “QuickBooks”

After pressing “Test Connection” I get the following error message:
“Unable to connect. The QODBC Driver for QuickBooks does not appear to be installed. This software is required to connect to QuickBooks.”

In my directory “c:\program files (x86)\a5v12\” I found a “A5SQLDBQuickBooks.dll” and tried to register this dll with “regsvr32.exe”, but then I get an error message saying that this dll was loaded but its DllRegisterServer-Entrypoint was not found, so it seems this file is not a valid dll or ocx file.

Question: Do I need a QODBC Driver in addition to the “A5SQLDBQuickBooks.dll” included in A5 and if so, where to get it and what is “A5SQLDBQuickBooks.dll” then good for?

You need QODBC to open up QuickBooks to the rest of the world.

This is just a short note about the status quo:
I attended Al’s webinar and learned, that I needed to download and install the QODBC Driver from Flexquarters (http://www.qodbc.com/qodbc.htm).
Included in the download are 2 small documents, “QODBCreadme.rtf” and “QODBC Quick Start Guide.pdf”. I followed these simple instructions, then I created an active-link table with connection type “QuickBooks” and it just worked - my A5 now can access the QuickBooks data!
