Where can I get the Cement Truck Sample App?

Hello Ed,

The Cement Truck Sample App uses features that are in Alpha Anywhere 4, which you may have noticed was recently released. We wanted to get the release out there so people using the app would be able to do so without needing to run a pre-release version of Alpha Anywhere.

I'll post back here when I know where you can go to download it. Thanks!

Thanks Leif! I just found these links myself. The FormView documentation includes a download for the sample application used within it. You can access this information through the FormView Builder within Alpha Anywhere 4. The FormView Builder can be opened by placing a FormView control on a UX Component. The link is on the first tab in the builder.

Hello Ed and Leif,

I thought you would be interested to know that another app is available for download.

The Inspection Solutions is an app for inspecting construction equipment. This new app takes advantage of many features in Alpha Anywhere version 4, employing very little code.

You can download the app from our GitHub account at https://github.com/alphaanywhere/InspectionSolutions

Support and questions about the application should be sent to guides@alphasoftware.com

Agreed, the scanning a bar code or QR code part is super cool. Does anyone know if I HAVE to create a phone gap application to use that portion of this UX? I am developing a web application that I would like to do this very same thing.

Hello Charles,

The scanning feature requires that the app is deployed as a PhoneGap application.

On another note:

Is there a quick way to convert the longitude / latitude to the street address to show up in "location" so it can be edited from there (if necessary). My location is the street address of the HOUSE I am inspecting (termite).

Hi Ken,

You can call the Google Map API to do a reverse lookup with the latitude & longitude values. Check out this article: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/geocoding#reverse-geocoding-by-location

These videos explain how to call the Google Map API Directly:
