since alpha is not recognizing my first submit form, is there another way to get the url so that I can go back to the original page. Value is set using document.Shop.location.value=this.location

I changed the button to an image and presto it works fine. Probably should still be looked at to see why the submit button does not post values.

Jack, there is no such thing as this.location in A5W, though since you did not post your complete code I cannot be sure how you are trying top use it.

The current URL is request.script_name. The previous page is request.referer. You should be aware however that if the request is the first one to your site or if the user has certain personal firewall options turned on, request.referer will not exist.
