I would like to allow users to upload a file. I wish to let them select the item to associate the file with. The item reference would be selected from a dialog web component. I have done these things in the past with php. Can a combination of html, web components and xbasic scripts accomplish this? Has anyone done this? Any hints on how to start?

Thanks

Here is what I am trying in an A5W page:

"head"
"meta name="generator" content="Alpha Five HTML Editor""
"title""/title"
"/head"
"body"
"p"
"form action="upload.a5w" enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post""
"input TYPE="file" NAME="file" "
"input type=submit name=btnSubmit value=Submit"
"/form""/p"
"/body"

Upload.a5w contains the ftp_put_file() command. I do not think that the upload.a5w file is even attempting to run.

Thanks

John, the web application server does not support file uploads (input type=file).

Is that planned for the future? What is the purpose of the ftp_put_file() function?

Thanks

Yes, it is planned for the next version

ftp_put_file() uploads a file from your Alpha Five client to an FTP server. You would use this from an Alpha Five desktop app.
