I have designed a form with a variable field in which an order number can be typed in. To this variable field I have attached an event script. The event is on "change". In the same form is a linked browse. Upon entering the order number and hitting [enter]the browse does not show the queried records. Obviously, the script is not being executed upon "change". The only way that the browse will show the queried records is if I mouseclick on the variable field again.

I need the script to be executed upon hitting the [enter] key.

In the last line of your change script, make sure you
have included the function CARD_PAINT()

Good luck,

Thanks for your help. I tried with the command card_paint, but it still did not effect the update in the browse. So, I did some guessing and the Lord guided my thoughts.

Before the card_paint()line, I put in card_resynch(). Then I double checked to make sure that my primary index was set on the order number field.

It works beautifully!!!
Thanks and have a great day.

I was going to correct myself as I overlooked that you have an embedded browse.

yes, card_resynch is what you need, but it should be the last statement in the script. So in the future, put card_paint() before card_resynch().
' an event script
dim somestuff as C
{more statements}
