Button Class Disabled Doesn't Work?

Hello,

Hopefully a easy question - Does the Button Class Disabled setting for buttons actually work? The Image Class Disabled clearly does as it's used in all of the default List Buttons. No matter what entry I have in the Button Class Disabled field, the appearance doesn't change. The Enable Expression functions fine. The Button Class Disabled page in the Alpha Documentation still has a "Work in Progress" notice and no information so any advice/direction is appreciated.

Should I forget about the Button Control setting and just do this programmatically or (hopefully) am I missing some nuance.

The behavior is the same in Version 5159 and 5221.

I appreciate any advice/information.

You don't provide an example of what you're putting into the Button class disabled property.

This property is looking for a Class Name. For example... I put btndisabled into this property.

Then, in the UX Properties, Local CSS definitions property... I added...

.btndisabled {
color: red;
}

Now, when my button becomes disabled, it's button text color is red.

This works as it's supposed to.

For the doc, you should report it. It seems as if Alpha makes a push on the Doc every few years and then forgets about it. This particular page, one of many, actually says... "We're working on filling in the missing information as quickly as possible."... but it's been like that for years.

Thanks for the response. I do have a Class Name as defined in the CSS Editor (Local CSS). The .btnDisabled CSS definition changes the background color to grey, otherwise it is identical to the active Button Class which works fine in the Button Class field. Based on your results, I'll go simple and build back up to the complete button definition and see where it breaks.

Not sure what Style you're using... it's not reported... but the class you've posted does affect the disabled button. It's not pretty, but it does work. Where did you get those style settings?

So I put together a 2 panel test and the class does work. Then the exact same code fails in my app. It's a Phonegap app running on Android and since the code works correctly for the Enable/Disable and Show/Hide functions on the same control, that's the approach I'll use for now since it appears the build process is dropping the Button Class Disabled feature. And with respect to your question, the CSS code for the class was built up by the CSS Design Editor in Alpha - I just filled in the table parameters.
