Please forgive me if this is in the wrong section, it is for a mobile app so I figured if someone had an alternate way of doing it they would see it here and suggest it.
What I am trying to do, is geocode the addresses of every customer in my table into a separate field of the table. After a lot of work, and not really ever getting the geocoding action scripting to work right, I found this page-->https://www.alphasoftware.com/docume...20database.xml
The only problem is that I know very little X-basic and so I don't really know what I'm supposed to edit, or change in the code. Also the address is split up into separate fields :serviceAddress, CITY, STATE, ZIPCODE. It says that I need to "modify the SQL query appropriately," but considering I have only ever done DBF queries in Xbasic this is already a pretty large challenge. If someone would please direct me to appropriate web pages, or help explain it to me that would be AWESOME! I've scanned as much as a I can to find a page to explain SQL queries to me, but I haven't found anything helpful.
OR.. If you already know a way to geocode the addresses through the UX component side, that would be awesome! For some reason the action scripting for geocoding isn't working at all for me. Thanks!
(also if you think I should move this post to a different spot in the forums let me know!)
