Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

The system cannot find the specified files style.css

    Official build 3012 5338.

    Untitled.png

I get this when I open the Custom appearance designer for a radio button or checkbox.

The file is indeed missing. Not sure why. Missing for all SASS themes, but not for CSS themes.

I tried a full install of AA. Did not fix it.

    How can I fix this?

Is anybody else seeing this error? CSS is not one of my strengths.

Easy to test. Put a simple radio button in a UX, set the Properties > Style to any SASS theme.

In RadioButton Properties check Has custom design for RadioButton appearance.

    Open the Custom appearance designer.

When I do this I see the error message. I can click the OK button, and the builder opens. In the bottom part of the builder it does not display a preview.

Also, in the Custom appearance designer, the Show CSS link in the bottom left corner of the window does not open the window that is supposed to show the CSS.

I have a radio button control I am using in an Absolute Layout Container. When I save the container to a pdf, the radio button selected does not render on the pdf.

I'm not seeing that error when opening the designer. However, I concur that the Show CSS link does not work and I do not get a preview of the radiobutton.
I also am not able to check and uncheck the radiobutton in preview .. is that normal?

I can check and uncheck the radiobutton in working preview and live preview.

Is it because of the double back-slash after Alpha-Blue?

If is it, then it is a bug. I sent a bug report earlier today.

Turns out this is a bug in the current official release 6012 5338.

              Selwyn says it is fixed.

Presumably the fix is in a pre-release. I have not tested it.

No fix is available for the official release.

              From Selwyn:
              you don't need a fix.
just temporarily change the style of the component to "alpha".
make the edits to the style that you want.
then change the style back to "alpha-blue"

But you cannot use an "internal" Alpha image. You must use an external image. For example, an image stored on Amazon S3.

I also found that a "Built-in" image will work, such as images/$$generic.check.png.a5image.
