Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

    list columns wrapping incorrectly

I've got a list and the data in the last column is frequently wrapping under the data in the first column, but if I filter to show fewer rows it sometimes corrects itself. I haven't done anything particularly complex with this list; it's set to "fill container" for its width and the columns are defined as flex widths. Has anyone seen this before? Images attached.

Me too, on build 5667_5254, and what's more weird, it's happening on only some records and not others in the same list.

I don't know if it's good news or bad news that I'm on the same build. Has anyone seen this on other builds?

        Re: list columns wrapping incorrectly

Remember that 5667 was one of 4 "official" nightmare releases put out within about a week in Feb 2019... starting with 5664 and ending with 5667.

The next "official" release came in May 23... 5864... where these "features" were added...

UX Component - List Controls - Window Resize - When the browser window is resized and is made smaller, the data in a List column row may wrap. Now, the List columns automatically resize (assuming their width is set to a flex value) and row data will not wrap.

UX Component - Client-side Events - onWindowResize - A new event is now available in client-side events. The onWindowResize event will fire when the browser window is resized.

Yes, I see the same issue, depending on how I zoom the browser window (Ctrl-Scroll). Once the zoom gets to a certain size, the last columns wrap around under the first. Thought this was just me because of something I was doing incorrectly (ie not using panel cards or something).

Was this issue ever corrected? I am having the same exact problem in Build 6402. I see the 'onWindowResize' client-side event available but am unclear on what Javascript should be inserted to correct this.

              Re: list columns wrapping incorrectly

I'm not seeing this, but I think it may be dependent upon settings and maybe even data. Can you provide a sample UX with static data showing the problem?
Are all your List Layout columns set with a flex value? They should be.

One problem I am seeing is that if you scroll down a page or 2 through a List and then resize the browser window, your List is reset to the top. This should not be.

                Re: list columns wrapping incorrectly

Penge, thank you for the tips. You're right that if you set all columns with pure flex values, it works correctly. However if you combine flex values with any static values (say 100px) or flex values with a minimum value as they suggest as an option in the software (like 'flex 1, 150px') then the wrapping issue occurs. It seems that Alpha isn't adjusting the list column data and list column headers in sync when using non-flex values. It's pretty easy to get around this with all flex values, but is a minor nuisance when using list columns containing fixed small widths, like a conditional image of an icon.

Yes, it looks like the List control needs a little work. You should report it.
