Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

Can i make unlimited apps i sell with one install and phone Gap plus other ?s

My offer to buy the new Alpha runs out in a day and i think i want to go forward with this but still have many ?s i am not sure about on what i can and can not do with one server install and other ?s

If i pay for Zebra hosting and have one Application Server running can i make unlimited Apps that i can get into the App stores using Phone Gap ?

I would like to sell low cost basic business apps to businesses like local area, restraints, service businesses, stores and any one that wants one. The basic 5 or 6 page app to order food or call for a service and so on. Basically a cell website that is a app in the app stores but with a few more functions.
I would need to make 7 or 8 samples just to show soon to be customers first.

If i had to pay $999 for a Application Server for each one i would never make any money as i would be selling them for less then that.?

Can i make standard apps with a photo of the business in the background like you see for business apps.

Can i run the basic business apps and some larger apps with the same Application Server. I will not be able to afford another Application Server anytime soon and want to work on many projects many small and a a few larger that will take a long time to work on many months. I need to make money with small business apps as i learn to make larger apps over time.

If so can all this be done easy with not extra coding.

Dose it cost anything extra to use Phone Gap?

Is Phone Gap easy to use with Alpha point and click to get it working with each app? I just watched the hour long video and i am still not sure if this is easy to use with alpha to get a basic business app up and running on app stores.

I have been looking at a lot of other app builders most are basic but i can make lots of basic business apps for a $35 a month fee with them hosting them included and helping get them listed in both app stores with tons of support and use pre-made templates to get them going super fast. I do not see any templates for Alpha for small business apps.
I would like to learn this but is it affordable for this use???

It seems like right now their is a ton of money to be made making local businesses cell phone apps at a low cost. I think i could sell 1 or 2 a week and charge a small $5 to $10 a month hosting fee each month as well for them.

    Thanks
