Can you filter a list with an array in SQL

So I have two lists and the idea is that you multi-select from the first list which creates an array of ids. These id's and then used in a javascript list filter action to filter a second list.

What happens is that you can pick the first item in list 1 and the list 2 will filter correctly, but when you pick additional items the filter returns nothing.

Does a list filter by array work in Lists? Am I doing something wrong in defining the Array?

Any help is appreciated.

No, not exactly.

I did manage to create callbacks that highlight the related rows in a subordinate lists and set the list to an array of those selected rows. So if you had two lists Countries and Cities and you picked two Countries you would get the cities highlighted from Both selected countries. What I have not been able to do is turn that into a filter so it only shows the selected Cities.

But just showing as "Selected" is fine as this is used as a pick list for a report filter and it actually then allows the user to add combinations. For example you can say give me the Cities in these two Countries, it will highlight the proper Cities and the user can then add other Cities or remove Cities and the report filter runs on the final selected set.

Here's a fairly simple way to filter a child List based on multiple selections in a parent List. In this case we're using the .setFilter method which takes a JSON object as a filter parameter. The nice part about this is that it's all client based... and so, really fast.

There's nothing special about the properties or setup of these two lists. The child List is NOT set up as having a parent or explicit filter.

Shout if it's not working for you. Some of this was odd. The whole concept was straight forward but the incoming values threw me right off.
