Insert dynamic HTML content into UX Text Area

I want to dynamically add content to a text area such as shown below (via xbasic). But when I do, all I see is the literal text shown below. I feel I'm missing something obvious. eh?

If there is a way to dynamically update a freeform area that might be an acceptable alternative.

Using Alpha Freeform Edit Region [Free-form container] create a DIV as shown below (uppercase name is required)

</div>

Then on your Ajax Call Xbasic code is as follows [note: the line continuation symbol is used \ - or put everything in one line]

You could also try a5_mergeDataIntoTemplate()
