Hide any false checkbox

I have a dialog with about 100 checkboxes bound to a table. For any record I want to show a summary UX that only displays the checkboxes that are true. I can set a show/hide expression for each field but it will be tedious to do this for every checkbox using the field name. Is there a way to enter a generic expression that would do the trick so I could simply copy it to each checkbox's show/hide expression?

Alternatively is there a way to loop all controls in xbasic and set the show/hide that way?

yes, you could parse loop e.html in the ondialogrender event and set display to none when checked="checked" for a given ID

How you do this all depends on how you want the end result to look.

You don't say which show/hide expression you're using.

Server-side show/hide will not render any part of the checkbox html including all the surrounding span and div parts. It's as if it was never there.
Client-side show/hide will not render the the checkbox only. The span and divs surrounding the checkbox are still there and still take up space on the rendered component.

There's no real need to make a trip to the server for this using XBasic.

Just setting the checkbox control style "display=none" will produce unevenly spaced checkbox controls.

By the way... you didn't say how your checkbox controls are arranged... all vertical?

One way to do this will take a little effort on your part... but will yield really nice results.

But first... what Variable names do your checkboxes have? Are they all named similarly? Could you give an example of 10 checkbox variable names?

Thanks, yes all checkboxes are arranged vertically and one per line. Names are variable, they are all medical conditions such as:

Anemia
Atrial Fibrillation
Diabetic
Glaucoma
etc

Ideally I want to collapse any space for hidden checkboxes.

Here's one way to get this done... all Client-side... but it's not pretty on your part... 'cause you're going to have to do some work to get this done... and you're not going to like it.
