Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

    List - Fill Container but cannot scroll

    I have a simple Panel Card with a header container. The rest of the Panel Card is a only 1 List for which I have checked the Fill Container checkbox.
    The list has about 20 columns each set to 2 inches and currently with 75 rows.
    I am able to scroll the list vertically. But cannot scroll the list horizontally. Any idea how to have a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the list?
    I have set the 'drag scroll direction' to both and 'Show horizontal scroll indicator' on the 'custom scroll indicator setting' of the list properties.
    help!

    Re: List - Fill Container but cannot scroll

    I have added a container around the list and kept Fill Container checkbox on as before on the list. Now I am able to scroll horizontally. But the issue is that I am not sure how to set the new container to Fill the panel card. I tried 100% for both width and height for the new container. Help!
    Thanks.

      Re: List - Fill Container but cannot scroll

      Now I am able to get the container fill 100% of the panel vertically by setting it within the 'Container Style' property.
      border-style: solid;
      border-width: 2px;
      overflow: scroll;
      height: 100%; <<<<<<<< this one
      Previously I tried to set the 'Container height' property of the container to 100% and it did not work there. Seems like you have to first go to the 'Container Style' property and then within it set the height.
      Thanks!

        Re: List - Fill Container but cannot scroll

        Never mind - both ['Container height' property and 'Container Style' property] seems to be the same for height. So this still a issue [setting the container to 100%, especially when panelcard is made scrollable -which is default]. Therefore the scrollable part works - but the sizing of container to say 100% is - showing only may be 30 % on the panel card. I am using resize container size code to fix set the required container height to 100%. Thanks!

          Re: List - Fill Container but cannot scroll

          If you add the following code to the Panel Body Style on a Panel Card
          Code:
          overflow: scroll; -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch !important; overflow-y: scroll !important;  -webkit-scrollbar: width: 12px; }  -webkit-scrollbar-track:{     -webkit-box-shadow: inset 0 0 6px rgba(0,0,0,0.3);      border-radius: 10px; } -webkit-scrollbar-thumb:{     border-radius: 10px;     -webkit-box-shadow: inset 0 0 6px rgba(0,0,0,0.5);  }
          It will scroll very nicely on an airpad2.

          I am still struggling with resizing a panel card in a tabbedUI Pane as it changes size. If I use a "container" it all works as expected, but a panel card just stays at whatever size it rendered at, which is really annoying as nothign seems to work, not even this.width and that seems like it should work.

          If anyone has any insight into solving panel cards size issues - please let me know!

          THANK YOU!
