In an updateable sql grid. I have a field set up as a Lookup - edit combo (field_a). In the field_a edit combo, optional properties, Fill-in-fields I have a couple of other fields in the row set to fill in with values from the lookup table. A normal simple setup.
If I edit field_a (select an item from the list), submit the changes, then refresh the grid. field_a on the first row of the grid is in focus. If I move out of field_a the grid goes dirty.
I have verified by selecting the show update commands that when the row goes dirty after moving from field_a after a refresh shows that the fields that I have set to fill in are in the update command with no updated data (the new data is the same as the old data).
If I change any other field in the grid and refresh no problem. This seems to be a problem with Lookup-Edit-combo fields.
It has taken me several hours to track this down. I tried rebuilding the grid as i thought something was wrong with the grid since it was probably at one time a v10 grid.
This problem seems like a bug since the fill in fields should not be firing just because I am moving to a new field and it only does it after a grid refresh.
If I don't refresh the grid and simply refresh the row this problem does not occur. I am refreshing the entire grid because I need to refresh values in the summary section.
I have tried changing the focus after refresh but it keeps moving focus to field_a.
Anyone have any experience with this?
