Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

Absolute Layout Container – Create .PDF fails to download Background Image

Action Javascript – Absolute Layout Container – Create .PDF.
When the file is downloaded the background image is not present. It downloads a pdf file, but it contains only the controls placed on the image.
This occurs in Official Release 6985-5522 8-27-20 and Official Release7040-5530 9-15-20. It does not happen in previous official releases.

Attached is a simple UX that demonstrates this.
You will need to place the background image file W-9.jpg in your web project folder to run it.

I would like someone to test this. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

You need to report it - whenever something is broken from a prior build.

I sent a bug report, but Selwyn did not see this behavior. So I have no idea why this is happening. I am still looking to see if anyone can test this.

        Any takers?

I have set up a windows 10 to test this on. How can I run the development server if I don't have a license number available?

Is does not work, I also changed your w9 image to a png optimized you jpg was over 500k - not good - also put your images in an image folder in your project, that's where they go. Other than that it's not your bad, here is a link to it on the server, it appears correct in the browser, but the download does not contain the background image (not merged) also the new project is attached send it to Selwyn as a test case.

                Selwyn's response:

                sorry

but regardless of what Peter Conway says, I don't agree that it is not working.

I published to my Alpha Cloud account and you can test my link. This is working for me

Regardless of that.. Selwyn's a brains-trust of information and I respect him greatly.

Just let him know that, and in the link on the cloudperfect address and your test has a session denial of the image, his server doesn't - so how do you get past that is the question.

I sent Selwyn the latest update about 5 hours ago. No response yet. I can understand that this may not actually be an Alpha bug. But "how do you get past that is the question".

I didn't abandon you on this, I have tried every combination now including the URL option, and the only way i'll believe this works in the current build is for Selwyn to send you a working copy of a UX and video, as there is no demo build in AA to use as a test case.
