Hello!
I am creating an app to order a list of products. The list of products shows up, they select one, and click the add to order button.
My first question is what is the best way to do this in your opinion? I have something working using repeating sections, but man are they a pain to work with, especially when deleting rows from the repeating section.
My new thought would be to just populate a list control using a data series and javascript function. The function would return an array of JSON data that holds the product name, price, etc.
My issue is, I'm not sure where to store the data of what they have added to the list. I need a middle area to store the data that the products list can add data to, and the checkout cart list can pull the data from.
I've looked into session variables and arguments, but it doesn't seem like that's what I'm looking for. I just want a page variable or something like that that I can modify as they add products, pull from in the other list, and clear when they're done. Is there something like that, a variable I can define that exists on the UX page that I can reference and modify. It only needs to be visible on the single UX page. This might be an obvious question but I've never tried to do anything like it and I can't seem to find the right answer.
Thanks for any help!
