Sorry Ronald, but without the report settings my options are to throw the spaghetti at the wall and let you tell me if it sticks.
I work with many experienced people that are in denial of their advancing age. In an effort to avoid getting glasses, several
of them have opted to use the settings to adjust the text on the screen. I noticed your image suggests something is set to
200%. Could that be the problem ?

The Alpha Software Forum Participation Guidelines
The Alpha Software Forum is a free forum created for Alpha Software Developer Community to ask for help, exchange ideas, and share solutions. Alpha Software strives to create an environment where all members of the community can feel safe to participate. In order to ensure the Alpha Software Forum is a place where all feel welcome, forum participants are expected to behave as follows:
Be sure all comments and threads you post are respectful. Posts that contain any of the following content will be considered a violation of your agreement as a member of the Alpha Software Forum Community and will be moderated:
If a thread or post is found to contain any of the content outlined above, a moderator may choose to take one of the following actions:
Moderators may also rename posts and threads if they are too generic or do not property reflect the content.
Moderators may move threads if they have been posted in the incorrect forum.
Threads/Posts questioning specific moderator decisions or actions (such as "why was a user banned?") are not allowed and will be removed.
The owners of Alpha Software Corporation (Forum Owner) reserve the right to remove, edit, move, or close any thread for any reason; or ban any forum member without notice, reason, or explanation.
Community members are encouraged to click the "Report Post" icon in the lower left of a given post if they feel the post is in violation of the rules. This will alert the Moderators to take a look.
Alpha Software Corporation may amend the guidelines from time to time and may also vary the procedures it sets out where appropriate in a particular case. Your agreement to comply with the guidelines will be deemed agreement to any changes to it.
Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting
Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.
When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.
The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.
When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.
A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.
If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.
When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.
Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

From Lance Gurd above:
Been having this issue and associated others for a month or so, Cian Chambliss has been looking at this and so far we have come up blank as to the problem.
Expecting something to work the same after multiple changes is almost as insane as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.Last edited by Ronald Anusiewicz; January 07, 2022, 11:59 AM.

I'm not very good at this, but it almost seems like html is messing with your intended results after all these year (I would guess the css I hate so much is involved.)
perhaps enlarging the text box a bit or reducing the size of the font (I would guess you should be able to leave it bold) will make the difference.

I'm sorry to say that after wasting way too much time trying to fix a problem that hasn't existed for the last 15 years, I rolled everything back to build 7776 and everything is working the way it always did. Yes, removing bold did fix the problem, but only as a work around. But why should I have to re-develop working reports just to move to a new build. Besides, Lance has confirmed it's a bug. I just wish I knew that before I started down that rabbit hole.

So what happened when you made the suggested changes? Past builds no longer count..

Well, been running this report for years through all version of Alpha 5. Never had a problem with version 8, 9, 10, 11 or multiple builds of 12. Shouldn't be having a problem now. Lance, thank you for confirming that you are seeing the same problem.

Probably fine if it's not bold.
Or some other font.
I see this once in awhile and then vary the font settings until it works..

Haven't' used reports for years but I'd ensure the header with is set to 100%, the font is either scalable or a smaller Arial font and work it from there.

Been having this issue and associated others for a month or so, Cian Chambliss has been looking at this and so far we have come up blank as to the problem. My only work around has been to restart the server or run the reports on my development machine (something other users cannot do).
Once re-starting the server I have no issues for a couple of hours, but when it does happen it is all my reports that get affected so not report specific.

Freeform report, caculated title text, half of first and last letter chopped off
Build 7993: I have a freeform report with a calculated title in the Page Header for Report. A standard letter using a portrait layout with a field format width of 65.
The left and right sides of the text is being chopped off by half a letter. I have tried adding spaces before and after the calculaed field. The extra spaces on the left side prevents the chopping of the left side of the text. However; there is no difference on the right side of the text.
Preview the report in design mode is fine. Run the report in Working Preview or in a browser using localhost and the title is chopped.
This is happening on more than one report.
I ran the same reports using build 7776 and the report titles are not chopped.
Has anyone else seen this behavior?
