I've been getting a crazy looping search behavior on a list that has been driving me nuts. I couldn't figure it out, but maybe I have. Can anyone else duplicate it?
Obviously, I don't need to change the "Get Primary Keys for a Parent Table..." event (step 5 and 6). I don't get the issue if I leave it as it was created-- not selected. But, somewhere along the way, I must have seen that property and selected it, and then I couldn't figure out what caused the behavior. It's an easy issue to avoid, but if you've made my mistake, it gives crazy results.
I'm using:
MySql (but it did the same thing with DBF)
ver. 4.6.4.0 Build 8000
Add-ins Build 5628
- Create a new UX.
- Create a set of textbox controls from a table
- Create a List and map the list to the textbox controls you've created.
- Make sure the "capture focus" property is selected. I think it is checked by default, but make sure because it's hard to create the affect if it's not.
- Go to the Server-side events, onDialogInitialize event, and edit the "Get Primary Keys for Parent Table:: Load Primary Keys".
- Edit the "Has custom List View Record navigators," and select the list you just created.
- Now, preview the list (working preview or live preview).
- Select a record in the list and go up and down through the records from the keyboard several times. Do it rapidly to speed up the process.
