I have not been able to figure this out, does anyone know if this is even possible?
I have an Ink control on a UX that is bound to a SQL field as an encrypted Signature field.
You can easily display a stored encrypted value on a UX by using the Encrypt field checkbox. But I have not been able to figure out how to display the encrypted Ink signature field on a Report.
To illustrate the problem I have tried two different approaches, neither of which works:
Method 1:
Place the default Signature field on the report using display value ... this will display the ENCRYPTED text representation of the Ink field (top data field).
Place a second calculated field on the report (below) using the expression a5_decrypt_string(Signature,"password) ... this displays the decrypted text but in the Ink coded 'plotter' data, not as Ink signature representation (bottom data field).

Method 2:
Use the override option in the datasource definition and change the default mapping for the Signature field from Memo to Ink (left screenshot) ... this will now display a blank for the display value of the field on report.
The calculated field expression using decrypt method still only shows the Ink plotter code not the respresentative Ink signature (right screenshot).

Has anyone managed to do this before? If not, I may submit the question to Alpha Guides.
