Signature control - how can we determine it's a blank graphic

Have you played around with the length value, maybe the empty signature is more than you think it is?

Hi all. I've had problems in the past with a blank signature causing problems in my list. So onBeforeUpdateRow of my list, I have code similar to the following.

//I found a problem where if you click Accept on the signature without leaving one, you will get Javascript errors
//It always seems to end with % when you do this. I will check for that here ApprovedBySignature

Altternatively, when trying to verify if a user has obtained a signature, I look for the string 'A pen'. Valid signatures seem to always contain this string. Hppe this is helpful

When you open the panel that has the signature control on it, disable the control, make a call back to the database (you can use action javascript if you want) to get the actual value stored in the field and populate a separate control with that value, check to see if null (and probably check for signature default value), if value is what you want activate the signature control. I'm not sure of your logic, so I'm just assuming you may wish to make it active or inactive.
