I don't have any ideas on this one, so am posting a (nearly unedited) copy of the problem one of our guys sent me. Any thoughts?
Scenario:
There are a lot of things that go haywire on their machines. Its really too extensive to describe.
Wondering have you ever seen any postings on the Alpha Wiki board related to this? We have two laptops (Mac running Chrome browser) that are experiencing tons of problems in OERCA. But on other Macs also running Chrome and on PC running Chrome using the same exact login no problems. Makes no sense at all and Im at a loss as to what to advise them to do. They cant exactly afford to buy new machines but no matter what I try, our app on their two machines doesnt work right. Something local for sure.
- *** and *** are having a number of very strange errors.
- I sat with them and looked at each problem which are many.
- I had my laptop open next to them, had them log into my machine with their user account and none of the problems occurred.
- They are using Mac, but Chrome browser on Mac.
- I verified the current version of Chrome.
- Verified the current version of the Mac OS.
- Had them each log into another Mac also using Chrome and again, none of the problems occurred.
- I cleared the cache on both their machines and even then went so far as to clear entire browsing history, cookies, etc. they still experienced all the weird errors. AND their menus are all weird, buttons misaligned, etc.
