In a Grid with a Tree-Control Record Navigator, how do I get the level number and key value from the selected item of the Record Navigator?
I need to get the currently selected branch level and key value, so I can use Action JavaScript to open a report that will print all the entries associated with the selected branch.
There are three levels in my tree-control record navigator:
- Parent
- Child
- Grand Child
The grid portion displays the details of the Grand Child record only. When a Parent or Child record is selected in the tree-control the detail view of the grid isn't suppose to show anything. Currently the detail view has a problem and displays the last Grand Child record that was shown; the detail needs to be set to hidden when Parent or Child record is displayed.
But my main problem is knowing what level in the tree is currently selected and the key value that goes with it. I cannot use {Grid.Object}._gridFilter because that does not tell me what level is selected or the key value when the Parent or Child level in the tree is selected. "._gridFilter" is only useful, in this case, when a record from the "Grand Child" table is shown.
NOTE: I configured the Tree-Control Record Navigator with a "Complex" query. That is how I am able to get it to show records from the Parent and Child tables.
