I can use some help with two issues I'm having using the "Advanced Export to Excel, HTML, Word or Ascii" Action Javascript.
I've added a Button on a UX to export a simple 1-field "txt" file (from a simple report definition). When I click the Button in Working Preview, the file "opens" with the data exactly the way I want it (though, I'd prefer NOT to have it open... I just want it to save to the local hard drive with a pre-determined name (that I'll be transferring via FTP)).
BUT, when I try it in Live Preview or in a "browser" (or when publish it to the server), it doesn't "appear" that anything is happening. Yet, something is happening. Here's the Firebug Console, when the button is clicked:
Ascii.jpg
Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to read/diagnose that message. I was trying to save it as a local file on disk as "c:\philtest.txt". You can see that reference at the end of Firebug message.
Anyway, I can use some help with this:
I want to be able to save the file to the local drive with a specific file name (preferably on the user's root directory ("c:") or desktop, but, as long as I can control the name and I know the location, it doesn't really matter where it's saved. NOTE: I don't need the file opened... just exported/saved to the local drive.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
