Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

Google Maps - Draw Line based upon results of UX List

    Hi all,

I have mastered the art of using Action Wizards plus a lot of special Xbasic code to do some fancy stuff with Google.
Has anyone been able to draw a line based upon a list of lat/long?

If so, how did you do it?

Hi all...... Sorry, have been really distracted with trying to get my build finished to meet a deadline.

NOW.... effected by the Google API key issue and struggling to get that logic updated. Lost a day on it already. AAARRRRGGGGHHH!
I will definitely share some examples, especially with my down under colleague..
It may take me a few more days or weeks to get back to you....

          Regards... Master

It's a shame the Mother of Dragons never got to meet the 'High Sparrow'..
The man who would become the High Sparrow was born to a fairly well off cobbler. After his father's passing, the young Sparrow continued and greatly improved the family business. Many highborn citizens sought out his wares and were happy to pay hefty sums. In turn, the man took extreme pride in his work, often spending night and day crafting a pair of shoes. The Sparrow became ever richer and adopted an extravagant lifestyle. He sought to distance himself from his humble roots and thus began to mimic the nobility who bought from him. The soon to be septon was known for giving lavish parties that ended in debauchery. After one such night with too much wine and women, the Sparrow woke up at the crack of dawn. Ashamed of what he had devolved into, the Sparrow up and left his life, not even bothering to put on his shoes. He began to minister to the less fortunate because he now felt they were closer to the Seven than anyone. - Game of Thrones.

Re: Google Maps - Draw Line based upon results of UX List

Attention grasshoppers. Most of my google map key problems are now resolved.
A very special thanks to Richard (and the team) for giving me some much needed guidance as part of the BETA program.

After a long meditation session I am pleased to share one of my challenges with you.

I have a Phonegap app with many panels.
One is to display a map with features close to me.
The other is to display a list. They work together. If you load it on a IPAD or Android Tablet you get both panels side by side.

I have constructed some nice javascript which is executed "afterServerSideSummaryCompute".
                      I share it with you as attached;
                      MAP_Javascript_to_compile_Map_from_list.txt

Image of generated map panel is MAP.jpg
