Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

A good habit to get into when posting a message about a possible issue is to note what Alpha Version and Build you're working with... e.g. 3658-4681. It's rare to see in a post and is crucial for issues.

Create a really simple UX and, with no additional files or settings, create a test build to upload. If that works then there's something specific in your problem build. I always find these blanket "there's a problem with Alpha" posts a bit inflammatory when there's no simple testing, versions, or attachments to back it up.

I've just built and uploaded via Alpha and no issues over 3 different versions including the latest official and latest pre-release. It's probably something specific in what you're uploading that's causing the issue so you'd have to zip and post your specific PhoneGapBuild project folder for anyone to have a look or at least sent it to Alpha.

My bad David , I had long day working on alpha probably continuous 22 hours , so I lost my focus , you are totally right about that I should be providing the alpha version .
I am on current version and my alpha is up to date , I have tried many things
And I also have went through other threads and ppl are claiming that it will keep giving the same error although they have created new work space etc ...
I also tried to keep simple phonegap without any plugins installed it did not work for me
So I don't know what to tell you but at least I know probably I am having issue in my server
I also wonder why my project is working fine when I uploaded it to phonegap directly
So it's confusing me I don't think it's issue with my file since it work in phonegap
I uploaded the zip project directly to there without any issue.

Btw do you know if I can configure proxy setting within alpha ?
Is there option for that ? Cus my server have to either net as public static ip and local ip that works under proxy
Both establish net to my server , I tried disabling the local and kept the public one without any luck ,
I need the proxy Internet cus it's way much faster in browsing at server

Thanks a lot for your kind response

Have you ever been able to upload to PhoneGap Build via Alpha? Is this a new issue... or have you always been unable to upload?

I don't know how you created your Zip file... you don't say... but there is a new feature in the PhoneGap Build Builder which allows you to create a Zip file of your project. I believe this was created specifically for users who are buried behind firewalls and proxies and can't get out to the PhoneGap Build site. This option is found under Alpha PhoneGap Project Build Options.

cus sometimes its available and other time its not .. that's the only thing explain it until the administrator is having fun with the phoneGap server lol
