Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

    Map Image Sequences - Google's 404

Very frustrated with Google right now, it seems some of the map markers (a bunch) are now 404. I checked the links this morning.
    For instance, the link:
http://google-maps-icons.googlecode....les/pink04.png is 404 however the link http://google-maps-icons.googlecode....les/pink01.png works.
I have maps that number stops for technicians in my application that I was using the built in image sequences for.

Now that many of these are 404 and some are not it looks like my application is all screwed up because the data series appear to be either numbered wrong or not at all! Thanks Google!

Anyway, if someone would share with me how I can add my own sequential map markers that would be awesome! I looked into this before but because the Alpha solution simply worked - I saw no need to invest any time figuring out my own.

It would be REALLY awesome if we could pick a local image sequence or at least edit the URL so we don't have to fetch the image from google in the first place!
If I could do that then this would be an EASY fix!

From what I can see the Google Code project has been shut down. It's been shutting down since early last year.

    Have a look here... https://code.google.com/archive/p/google-maps-icons/

The icons you were using were probably just cached by whatever server you were hitting. Neither of the links you posted work for me.

Well, thats the issue. If you use the built in image sequences for map markers in Alpha, the markers don't always work because they 404 on us. I guess google can't afford to host the markers anymore, lol.

Anyways, I sent in a feature request/bug alert even though it isn't their fault google removed the image and or killed the URL. It would be super awesome if they would make it as easy to use a local project based image sequence as easily as we could select the google image sequences!

Just got word that the code will allow us to use the internal image sequences as of tomorrows build.
Guess who is REALLY happy about that!

as I like to say, it's ice cream time!

I wonder if I can get a fix for older version mine is totally broken too. Or does anyone know how to use your own images I tried to use rownumber or LogicalRecNo in an expression and it fails.

          convert_type(LogicalRecNo_,"N")=1

Congrats, could you share your solution for those who may not have a clue? I know enough to to be dangerous and I am glad it was fixed by alpha!
