Save list data with 'parent' in UX

Hi
In my scenario (similar to the Order with Order Details) , i have a UX with some fields for the "Order" part and a list control for the "Order Details" part. All based on mySQL.
I would like to update the Orders and OrderDetails tables respectively in the Ux AfterDialogValidate event, in the "Save Submitted Data to tables" action.

How can i do that?

Your Orders table is data-bound with the UX, and your Order Details table is data-bound in a List control.

Your Order Details List operates independently of the UX data-binding. Changes to the Order Details section are handled within the List with List update and synchronize methods.

Then you'd submit the UX with the afterDialogValidate event taking care of the Orders section.. since Orders is UX data-bound.

I know, hence my post. I do not want the customer to save the list independently of the ux, i just want the Submit and Reset for the ux to take care of everything.
Is there a javascript function that can save the list data? So in my submit button onclick() i could have something like

{dialog.object}.SaveMyListData();
{dialog.object}.submit();

For the list...

var lObj = {dialog.object}.getControl('LIST1');
lObj.updateListFromUXControls();
{dialog.object}.saveListEdits('LIST1',{rows: 'allRows'});

What you can do for future reference is to go ahead and let ALPHA create the save button in the lists detail view area, then convert to text and copy the code. Afterwards you can delete the button once you've got the code. That method to get the right code already written correctly can be used in many places. For fun create an action via action JavaScript, convert it to text and look at the code behind it, VERY helpful stuff! The component methods often give you much insight as well.

The List building process lets you automatically create the buttons required... when the List is created. In doing this, there is no converting to text... the JS code is just there in the button event.

yeah, I was just saying that you can get the same code in that way from the button and add it like you did.
