Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

    Info.plist key ( IOS Application Publish to App Store )

    Hello all ,
    Am trying to upload my application using App Loader on mac ,
    They have have reviewed the application and responded as below

    Apple Response :

    Dear developer,

    We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "RadiologyBits". To process your delivery, the following issues must be corrected:

    Missing Info.plist key - This app attempts to access privacy-sensitive data without a usage description. The app's Info.plist must contain an NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription key with a string value explaining to the user how the app uses this data.

    Though you are not required to fix the following issues, we wanted to make you aware of them:

    Missing Push Notification Entitlement - Your app appears to register with the Apple Push Notification service, but the app signature's entitlements do not include the "aps-environment" entitlement. If your app uses the Apple Push Notification service, make sure your App ID is enabled for Push Notification in the Provisioning Portal, and resubmit after signing your app with a Distribution provisioning profile that includes the "aps-environment" entitlement. Xcode 8 does not automatically copy the aps-environment entitlement from provisioning profiles at build time. This behavior is intentional. To use this entitlement, either enable Push Notifications in the project editor's Capabilities pane, or manually add the entitlement to your entitlements file. For more information, see https://developer.apple.com/library/...008194-CH6-SW1.

    Once the required corrections have been made, you can then redeliver the corrected binary.

    Regards,

    The App Store team

    I understand that i should only worry about info.plist , any idea what / where to place the code in config.xml to resolve that ?

    Here is copy of my camera plugin code

    <plugin name="cordova-plugin-camera" source="npm" />

    under this , i have wrote the below code to resolve the issue , but i need confirmation as i am not sure if thats the correct way to solve it .

    <gap:config-file platform="ios" parent="NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription" overwrite="true">
    <string>am using the bla bla bla bla my reason here </string>
    </gap:config-file>

    I really appreciate any suggestions to resolve this as i think this is my last step to have the app published .

    Thanks again ,

    Ahmed Sh

    You can't correct this issue... or add anything to the info.plist... via the PGB config.xml file... it doesn't work that way.

    Have a look here...

    You should try a search for this stuff. I knew I'd written about this and found it in a few seconds with a search on "info.plist".

      Hello David , thanks For the thread I have already went through all your responses in msgboard
      I did check what you wrote there

      I have also google it , it's a bit confusing some people claiming it will work through config.xml
      Check this out

      https://github.com/phonegap/phonegap...ner/issues/270

      Others are suggesting to use plugin that will deal with plist while few are passing the desc as variable from xml
      I have to do many trials to figure out
      Can you point me directly to a solution that could work out with camera plugin

      I just wonder why would you say I can't correct this !!
