Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

fully responsive bootstrap in alpha done within 1 hour flat

    I finally figured out-

fully responsive bootstrap in alpha done within 1 hour flat. I could embed grids, charts, any control alpha has without a single script or css issue.alpha1.pngalpha4.png

I think it's truly great that you've accomplished what you wanted. However... I can't ignore the fact that your posting title sounds like every other false marketing statement being thrown about these days.

fully responsive bootstrap in alpha done within 1 hour flat
Within 1 hour flat... after spending how many hours, days, months trying to understand it. The time you spent posting alone is far beyond 1 hour. The time and effort put forth by those responding is, again, far beyond 1 hour.

And, without being knee-deep it in for months, try to duplicate your 1 hour success 2 months from now.

1 hour. Sheesh. It looks great... but it ain't 1 hour.

Yes I agree that is an exaggeration. It's taken the full five minutes for me to complete my project....next year or maybe the year after.

You are right David. Now onwards it will one hour for my next projects. One thing I would like to add is although it took 3 months I actually spent only few days exploring alpha styles. I am not fully dedicated to alpha(I work on other sharepoint/dotnet stuff as main bread and butter).
Luckily today it was friday and I started playing around these alpha layouts and I also found super easy bootstrap theme and I found the trick.
Alpha tool is overall great with help/videos(I am just 3 months old in alpha) and forums keep me motivated.

Thanks fantastic! And now I bet it seems sooo simple. That's what happens to me anyway. Care to share what you discovered?

Re: fully responsive bootstrap in alpha done within 1 hour flat

Yes its now simple. The trick is to use injectible content container and free form layout as shown in attached picture.
                1. get any html from bootstrap or any other cool html framework(along with css)
                2. copy paste it in free form layout container
                3. add your alpha controls(grid, map, video, list) in UX control
                4. now its sprinkling time- use injectible content container and mention the div id from bootstrap html where you want to drop your powerful alpha controls
                5. at this point you are done with your html + css + alpha functionality (make sure you give 90 to 100% width(instead of 1, 2 inch) for all controls to make them responsive
                6. now if you want to use any third party js make sure it does not conflict with alpha js files.
                Untitled.png
                6. with this approach you have complete freedom of cool html frameworks(with branding) and then sprinkling of powerful alpha controls on top of that html.

Very cool, Amit. Could you post a working sample so we can see how it all goes together?

Attached are sample screenshots using bootstrap html(responsive and on browser).
You can download any bootstrap html(9 to 20 dollars) and start sprinkling alpha controls with div id approach(90-100% width and may be a horizontal scroll bar for large grids). I was able to add grid, maps, repeater sections with controls and charts, YouTube videos.Untitled.png

Yes... the screenshots are excellent. Could you post a UX so we can see how it all goes together? That would be great.

Not sure if I can attach the source as it has some of our project html and codes but from the screenshot its very easy to build. Just use injectible container and free form layout as shown in screenshot.

Thanks... unfortunately there was no attachment. The screenshots you show are using the AdminLTE template... which is a free templte. Could your sample UX include your HTML in the free form layout? That one of the important bits to see how it's done. Thanks.

A simple example UX... using the AdminLTE template and just 1 embedded UX which contains just a few unbound controls would really help.
