Didn't read that other long thread, but have you added *.pdf as an allowed file type under security?

Yes, the *.pdf is in the allowed extension list.

Maybe you could describe your problem rather then referring to another thread? It may make a difference if you describe the setting your way, in the other thread it did not seem to give a clue to anybody so take your chance!

Ok, when I use the functionality to create the PDF the first time (acrobat is not in memory), it gives an error 'There is an error with Acrobat. Close the program and try again.'. In Task Manager I kill the process and press my button again. Nothing appears on the screen. The report is there on the server.

Ok, so I've read the thread and somebody stated that a previous build didn't have this behavior. Maybe one could send me the file __a5RunReport.a5w of a previous release and I will try. The previous release must be prior to build 4369.

If it works with that file, there is a bug in Alpha Five.

Have you tried with Acrobat 9 & 10. 10 has issues under certain circumstances (not related to Alpha)

Ok, the plot thickens as they say. I got a work-around which doesn't show the pdf on screen but prompts a save dialog to the user. Not bad.

I placed the following javascript in the declaration section and called it from the button click event. Note the ro.Download = 'Y';

Oh, forgot to mention. No I didn't try with Adobe Reader 9.0, I have Reader 10 on my machines. Never had issues. Have the latest updates installed.
