I am trying to write a media manager / player for my media files. I have the media located on a network storage device. I cannot figure out the syntax for the location of local files.
I have tried using the UNC path ie:
\\192.168.1.2\public\media\movies\A Star is Born.mp4
"\\192.168.1.2\public\media\movies\A Star is Born.mp4"
O:\public\media\movies\A Star is Born.mp4
"O:\public\media\movies\A Star is Born.mp4"
\\192.168.1.2\public\media\movies\A%20Star%20is%20Born.mp4
"\\192.168.1.2\public\media\movies\A%20Star%20is%20Born.mp4"
Plus others. I haven't even tried figuring out how to get the filename from a grid, I am using the controls default setting, just to get the proper format. I cannot find it in the WIKI, (WHICH I HATE USING).
We need a real chm and pdf manual. The WIKI just slows me down and is not conducive to workflow. I watched the video on the video player, but they never changed the filename for the video file, so I have no idea what they are looking for. I have found this to be true: The videos are nice to show new features, but when you want to use that feature, you find an important step was glossed over so you have to figure it out on your own.
When the WIKI first came out, I tried to print the Reference Manual, but it kept running out of memory. I had to break it up into so many pieces, it was a nuisance and not what I want to do again for V11.
Please, can we get a CHM help file and/or a reference manual which is searchable and printable?
