Javascript syntax for free form column layout of a grid field?

In a mobile grid i try to put some javascript in a free-form column layout of a field.
Purpose is to let the mobile phone be able to set up a call when cliking on a phone number.
But i cannot find the correct syntax.

If i use:

if ({data.Tel_fax} == 'TEL'){
<a href="tel:{data.Tefa_nummer}" target="_self">{data.Tefa_nummer}</a>;
}
else{{data.Tefa_nummer};

}

It shows the total script-text (with the field Tefa-nummer replaced with the correct value

If i use

<script>
if ({data.Tel_fax} == 'TEL'){
<a href="tel:{data.Tefa_nummer}" target="_self">{data.Tefa_nummer}</a>;
}
else{{data.Tefa_nummer};

}

</script>

I get an error for each row and nothing shows in the column for Tefa_nummer

Not sure, but I think it's just HTML allowed in there... but again I'm not positive.

If you go into Properties for the Grid, and get to Javascript - System Events - onRowRender you could try this... as each row gets rendered, insert the HTML into that field.

	var varProdId = {grid.Object}.getValue('G','PRODID',rowNum);
	var varHTML = '<a href="tel:"' + varProdId + '"; target="_self">' + varProdId + '</a>';

		$('GRID1.TD.R' + rowNum + '.PRODNAME').innerHTML = varHTML;
		}
	else
		{
		$('GRID1.TD.R' + rowNum + '.PRODNAME').innerHTML = varProdId;
		}

This works great when i open the grid. But this grid is placed in a linked content section of another grid.
And than somehow all the TEL en MAIL records are just not rendered with html code......

Where are the TEL & MAIL fields? In the parent grid, or the linked grid?
