I have this - and only this in an attempt to narrow things down - on an .a5W page:

Code:
<%A5
dim cn as sql::Connection
cn.open("::Name::MyConn")
?cn.callresult.text
cn.close()
%>
The ? returns this and any attempt to run code after the cn.open just fails.

Success, but there is more information Your database has returned the following error code and description to Alpha Five. Consult your database documentation for further information. 5701 - '[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Changed database context to 'OEDB Prototype1'. SQL State is: 01000 [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Changed language setting to us_english. SQL State is: 01000 [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0]Packet size change not honored by server, server size used SQL State is: 01S02'
Googling didn't turn up much, but stuff like this:

01S02 Option value changed The driver did not support the value specified in ValuePtr and substituted a similar value. (Function returns SQL_SUCCESS_WITH_INFO.)
This connection works fine from grids, dialogs, UDFs, etc. This is the first time I've tried to put it on an .A5W page so that may be the only variance but it still should work. This is with SQL 2012 by the way.

Now what?
