Javascript Time Function

I am trying to code a Conditional Row Style. I want the row to turn to White on Red, if the time in the grid object ("SchTime") is older than the actual time (Time()), thus highlighting it for the user.

I can't seem to get the Javascript function correct.

Can someone give me the formula?

There's no "formula" if you are using dbf. You have to parse the value and make a string comparison. Since it is JS and not xbasic there is no time() function.

Thanks Peter, but I can easily parse the variable, however what do I compare it to? i.e. What is the Javascript function for time?

I appreciate the "teach a man to fish approach", but I've already looked at this site, but can't seem to get the expression to be accepted by the grid.

What I need to do is get an expression for the Conditional Row Style based on the field in the grid row, in this case, "Schtime". So in XBasic is would be Schtime < time(). I've tried parsing Schtime (which is in short time format) to a character, but the problem is how to get the current time in Javascript and in the same format. Is this even possible?

I'm not sure what it is you want. This returns "short" time format:

//get the current time in 12 hour format

var d = new Date();
vHr = d.getHours();     // Returns hours
vMin = d.getMinutes();    // Returns minutes


vAmPm = ' AM';
if(vHr > 12) 
 {
 vHr = vHr - 12;  
 vAmPm = ' PM';
 }
else if(vHr == 0) 
 {
 vHr = 12;
 }

if (vMin < 10)
  vMin = ":0" + vMin

alert(vHr + ':' + vMin + vAmPm);

Is that what you are after?
