I have a dialog2 component that I'm using to update a record in the current row of a grid.
I have a linked field that I am using to open a "dialog to current record in grid to update the record" action.
The dialog is editing the table that the original grid is based on, but, it also has a repeating section that is bound to an additional table.
Some of the fields in the repeating section are filled in with values from the "top level" section using calc fields in the client side properties.
The problem is that when the dialog is submitted, the fields that are filled in with calc fields from the top level are not saved to the corresponding table.
I know the fields are properly bound because when I manually enter data into them either directly or from the top level, the data gets saved to the repeating section table.
I tried making the fields in the repeating section dirty using e.dirtyColumns. Here is an example:
e.dirtyColumns = e.dirtyColumns + crlf() + "CLIENTID"
No matter what I try to make fields dirty in the repeating section, it does not work. It works if I manually enter data (which makes them dirty) so I know it can be done.
Does anyone know how to make fields in repeating sections "dirty" in this manner?
Thank You In Advance for any help you can provide!
