I am attempting to build a dialog with a record navigation. (Feature pack.)
It works fine, but I then attempted to add a dropdown box in an attempt to filter the records, and I am failing at my attempt here.
My database is MySQL, and this involves 3 tables. (So far.)
These are not all the fields, but the important ones for this task.
I have a list of routes, with RouteID as the primary key. The list of locations associated with each route is in the route_sub table, with RouteSubID as the primary key there. And it references the location table using the LocID, which is the location pirmary key.
Each location can be associated with multiple routes, but can only exist once per route.
I was trying to navigate by LocID, but that didn't work out as well, but I decided that navigating by RouteSubID was probably best.
So far I don't need to change, or update any of this information in this dialog, though later I will want to store the reference information in another table that does not yet exist. So this information can exist as read only.
I have tried various views in MySQL, and select statements in Alpha, and can't get this to work. I have used the Populate Dialog in the onChange javascript event, though I am not sure that is the right way to filter the records.
