Run SQL Update from a Grid Button

I could use some help. I want to create a Grid Button where users can execute a very simple "SQL Update" that will update the fields in one table ("tblTaxAmounts") with the corresponding fields from a second table ("tblTaxAmounts-Master"). Both tables are contained in a named SQL Connection called "Baughman").

Here's the code, I've written (and I tested it within Microsoft Access and it works perfectly):
Dim cn as sql::connection
Dim sqlCommand as c
flag = cn.open("::Name::Baughman")
sqlCommand = "UPDATE [tblTaxAmounts-Master] LEFT JOIN tblTaxAmounts ON [tblTaxAmounts-Master].ZipCode = tblTaxAmounts.ZipCode
SET tblTaxAmounts.TaxPercent = [tblTaxAmounts-Master].[TaxPercent]"
flag = cn.execute(sqlCommand)
?flag
= .t.

I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS:
1) Will that code work in Alpha 5 (version 11 - I have an Alpha Anywhere license, but this Application is in Version 11)?
2) How can I create a Grid Button (or some other form, etc.) that will allow users to execute that code.

1) Yes (assuming the sqlCommand two lines are actually one line in your code and you don't include the ?flag and =.t. lines)
2)
Insert a button into your grid.
Open the Javascript OnClick event for the button.
Select Action Javascript, then Ajax Callback.
Enter a name for the function (e.g. myFunction)
Click on the link for prototype and copy the text.
Click on the link for Xbasic functions and paste the text.
Copy your code above into the function.
The last thing before the end function line should be something like:
myFunction = "alert('" + flag + "');"

I can't thank you enough. That functionality will help me with so many limitations that I've been working to overcome. had run into over time.
