Issue Persisting - Any Suggestions?
I followed Dan's advice (03-24 8:41am) and the issue is still taking place.
Selwyn suggested that the issue is likely caused by my computer not having installed the dhtmledit.msi (I am using Vista, which doesn't install these files).
As per Selwyn's advice I turned off User Account Controls in Vista and then re-installed version 9
(free trial version).
This time the dhtml editing component install took place during the version 9 install. As a result, now I have the dhtmled.ocx and triedit.dll files in c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\dhtmled.
Unfortunately, the issue is still taking place.
My understanding is that the dhtmled.ocx and triedit.dll files are registered when the dhtmled.msi is installed. In case this isn't the case I tried registering these files - but with no success. Got the following error message: "the module "dhtmled.ocx" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found. Make sure that "dhtmled.ocx" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.
If the dhtmled.ocx and triedit.dll files don't need to be registered I am not sure what to do next...as it would appear that everything is in order.
If these files do need to be registered then I am not sure why they are not registering (cd c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\dhtmled
...regsvr32 dhtmled.ocx)
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again for your help.
Cheers,
Noel
