Having checked the forum it seems I have encountered an issue during login.
Looking at this thread http://msgboard.alphasoftware.com/al...ogin+component
I have a need to create session variables to provide additional filters for individuals that have logged in as part of a membership system.
Having established the security framework I pick up a unique identifier using the ulink field within the framwork. After login the user is taken to a new page which uses the following to open a table and extract field values to populate session variables.
the script, thanks to Pat Bremkamp and Louis Nickerson is:
<%a5
dim pUser as p
dim tbl as p
a5ws_logged_in_user_values(pUser,request,session)
if eval_valid("pUser.ulink") = .t.
vUI=alltrim(pUser.ulink)
tbl=table.open("[PathAlias.ADB_Path]\webaccess")
tbl.order("Bafareg","Bafareg = "+quote(vUI))
session.__protected__bafareg = alltrim(tbl.Bafareg)
tbl.close()
response.redirect("notice.a5w")
end if
%>
In this example the script is trying to create just one session variable. Intially it pointed to a table containing 8000 + records but was incredibly slow (5+ minutes to load the next page). So I replaced this table with a new, much smaller table (with currently just one record) but still no luck.
After creating the variables a new page is supposed to load which will show a disclaimer and also at present the variables so that I can see that they have been created correctly. As already stated it is loading but taking way too long!
I am not sure what is going on here so any help greatfully appreciated.
Regards
Glen
