first add up all buys within a product
add up all sells within the same product
if there's no difference put a T in the code field of all lines for the buys and sell for that product.

If there's a difference, how much is the difference.
if you find a line with the same difference within that same product, change the code on that line to a P.
if there's no even quantity with that difference, go to the first line for that product and check the quantity.
If the quantity is bigger, split that line.
if the quantity is smaller go to the next line...

The important thing here is if the buys are more than sells, we split a buy line, if the sells are more than buys we split the sells line.

Ok, so using my last example what would the table entries for that single product look like after the script is finished?

What determines that ?
It is entirely up to you as long as it's the correct difference of qty. There's no criteria.

I think something like this would do the trick:

Pseudo code

For each product
    sum the buys
    sum the sells
    determine the difference

    set code to "T" for each line who's type has the smaller sum i.e.
         if the sells are smaller, set all sell lines "T"

    spread the smaller sum across the lines comprising the larger sum as follows:
        loop through the lines 
            if the remaining_to_spread = the quantity mark that line T and set 
                   remaining_to_spread to zero
	    if the remaining_to_spread is > 0 and > the quantity mark that line T and
                   subtract quantity from remaining_to_spread
            if the remaining to spread is > 0 and < the quantity split the line 

	    Then, finally, if there are other lines remaining mark them P
