Need help understanding how to move through child records behind the scenes(xbasic) of a form and then reposition the child browse within the form to a record found while scanning the child table. I used to be able to do it by ....
get pointer to the form child table ..table.get(child table)
open new session to child table ... table.open(child table)
find record .....
Get recno ...
use pointer to form child and do find on recno
resync browse
and everything was good with the world
Well .... this doesnt work anymore .... browse will not resynch to the new child position
exmple of code:
I have read some posts on tbl.get_cursor (dont know when this one snuck in), but have to admit, not sure what to do with this. Just when I think I have a good piece of code, something changes with browse.
Can anyone suggest what I can try and code now ... or kinda explain why my code doesn't work anymore so I can try and figure out yet another way of doing it .....
Thanks in advance ...
Glenn
