Check if Alpha is "on top"..

Hello,
Is there a way to check if Alpha is the currently viewed program. I need to run a function via an ontimer event.... BUT only if Alpha is the current program. If a user is using another program and Alpha is minimized I do not want to run the function. Thanks for any input!

With a bit of searching I found help from other threads... so thanks to those who posted their info. Here's what I came up with:

' This code determines if Alpha is the currently active window and gets the cursor position (x -but can also get y).

********Note that the Active Window number changes EACH time the program starts so I would initialize a GLOBAL variable on the autoexec.

The reason I wanted to find out if Alpha was the active window was so I could determine the mouse position (and if the mouse position changed during the ontimer event) ONLY when Alpha was the active window.

on the autoexec OR oninit of your startup form:

Then on the ontimer event of each form:
