Problem with Chart function

I have created the following chart function:

The function runs for a few seconds then ends with the following error: "Property is write only a[] not found"
The offending line is: cd.value = format_data(a[i].value,",")

How can I fix this?

Stick a debug(1) in just before count = a.size() and check the value of count at that point.

You've dimmed a[] to the record count (903) but you're only assigning a[].name and a[].value up to 96.

At least that looks odd on first glance.

I dont know how many elements will actually get populated, so I dim at the maximum... when the array is populated the index is sequential and stops at the actual number of data pairs.

Doesn't this section go from 1 to 903?

What happens if you change to

cdd.label = a[i].name + " ("+cdd.value+")"
cs.data.add(cdd)

I modified the code so that the a[] array would contain only valid pairs... I also changed the counter as you suggested:

We are making progress...
The error msg is no longer displayed... but neither is the chart. The form with the chart displays... but a grey area appears where the chart should be.

There is nothing fancy on the chart dialog. I just placed: plotArrayDataOrderDet2(Prodnum) in the custom source field.

Scroll down a bit, use the Go Advanced button, and you will see # next to the quote toolbar button. Or just wrap your code in
