Trouble with User defined function

I have created a user defined function that is type L with one variable that also gets passed to it, ie - the table name.

It looks to see if a table rule is in place. This all works but I cannot get the function to return as true. It always returns as false. So basically I do not know where the function is getting its true or false result from.

When run I get these results.

Shouldn't that be

Duh is me.. I tried that but put the function brackets on the end which did not work.

SX_Check_TR() = .T. is what I had tried that did not work. Never thought about removing the () but it now works.

Good point on the tbl.close

The SX_reg(sx_pswd,sx_co_name) will be run from with the table even rules. The SX_Check_TR("TableName") will be run on app startup to verify that the end user has not tried to modify or remove the table event rule.

Most will not go and download a trial of Alpha to try and defeat my registration system, but there may be a few that will.

All of these functions will go into a .AEX that is not part of the apps .AEX but will be loaded in the autoexec using load_library(). If they try and remove the .AEX from the directory the app will give them a nice warning message and then shut down.
