Sql Query using binary feilds

HI All , I am using a ole method to imports invoices form Alpha tables to an accounting app (sage50) .This method is called importAndReturnGuids() . It imports records and the returns the Guids of the imported
records as a safe array .
I am also using a read-only odbc to connect to the accounting app's(sage50) database and I need to query the journal table for the imported records using the binary Guid array.
I do not know how to write sql query for using the binary array.
I appreciate any help .

Something like:

select * from journal
where guid in (guid1, guid2, guid3)

might work.

That would assume you can turn your safe array into a format like that. (Test with a very small dataset first!)

Otherwise, you could loop through the guids in the array one at a time, run a sql statement like:

select * from journal
where guid = guid[x]

for each guid in the array.

it would be slow, but it would get the job done. You would read the journal entries one at a time.

Just depends on what you are going to do with the data.

I need to do it using the "in" clause. But first I have to find a way to convert (or Cast) this binary Guid in to UUID Guid then convert that to character so it can be used with the "In" Clause.
Any Way I gave up looking for the solution and used another function that dose not return Guids and fund a work around for location imported records.
