� Optimising your Web Server
� Optimising your Web Clients (Browser)
Techniques
� Using UDF's
� Simplifying development and development of UDF's for web components
� Debugging UDF's
� Speed optimisation and testing
� Good Practices (Do's and don'ts)
Debugging applications
� Setup client side debugging
� Getting any information you need
� Viewing JavaScript libraries and CSS Stylesheets
A5 Ajax Demonstration Applications
� Why do they look complex?
� Identify key components and how to simplify them
SESSION 2 - ADVANCING YOUR AJAX DEVELOPMENTS
(2 hour session)
This session is primarily a visual workshop which will take you through the development of applications using Ajax in Alpha Five. This session will demonstrate many advanced Ajax techniques including the Forms, Tab & Accordion methods.
This session will re-enforce your understanding of the topics covered in session 1 and is highly recommended as a compulsory follow up to Session 1.
Workshop (the following topics will be covered as time permits)
� Create an Ajax enabled popup calendar
� Ajax membership form using Auto-Selection and Tab Controls
� Writing the data back to the Alpha Five database
� Handling user concurrency issues
� Implementing dynamic grids
� Using Alpha Five Dialog and Grid components with your Ajax application
� Using UDF's
� Handling Errors in UDF's
