Refreshing Fields on Calling Form

Form1 has a button that opens Form2 without closing Form1. Form2 has a button that updates the current record displayed on Form1. Once Form2 closes the values of fields on Form1 need to be refreshed so they display the correct values. The only way I can get this done is to manually press the F5 key to refresh the form data. I could also created a button to do the same. What I would like to do is to put some code on the OnActivate Event of Form1 to refresh these fields. To this point everything I have tried has failed to refresh the fields on Form1.

If there is a better strategy for this or a suggestion on the proper syntax for refreshing fields via the OnActivate Event I would be very thankful.

Put the instruction to refresh display of Form1 in the Close event button on Form2.
Here is the script, all built with AS, which does exactly what you asked.

Another way that I use quite often is to open the second form as a dialog using the OnPush event of a button on the first form. The OnPush script pauses when the second form is opened as a dialog and will resume when the second form is closed. Considering this, the refresh script can be placed on the first form's button OnPush event after the script that opens the second.
