How to create a table

How do you make sure when you create a table with a script that it ends
up in the data base and just not another file on the disk.
Such as adding a file into alpha sports.
Below is an example of my test code.

Use FILE_ADD_TO_DB()

And I wouldn't use

create_table(filename,fields)

I would notice that the documentation suggests

create_table("c:\data\newtable.dbf", fields)

to make sure the table gets created where you want it.

Thanks Stan,

I was aware of the placement off the file, I was hoping by using
just the file name it would be placed in the default directory of the
database, and it did, but doe's not show up in the control panel under
tables and sets.
On the statement of not to use create_table(filename,fields),
what would you use in place of that.

Did you use what Stan provided for this issue...Use FILE_ADD_TO_DB() BTW--it is a link to the function too--click on it to learn about it.

On the statement of not to use create_table(filename,fields),
what would you use in place of that.

Again, Stan told you to perhaps use

create_table("c:\data\newtable.dbf", fields)

which to me suggests using the full path.
