Hi All,
I have created the following set:
In the 'tables in set', wodetail2 and wodetail21 are the same table. I do not know if these set structure is valid but I'm assuming it's not because it does not do what I wish to do.
The reason I set it up this way is because I have two reports to print. (A form is set up with two buttons, one for each report.)
The first report only needs womaster2 and wodetail2 tables. This was my original design. The design became more complicated (not hard to implement) because in order to audit our processes we needed to print more detail on the report.
Whereas the first report only needed to print Work Order Master information (womaster2) and detail information (wodetail2 contains parts numbers), the second report needs to repeatedly print the part numbers for each step in the process. (And processes have multiple varying steps.) This is why this set expanded to it's present form. The only problem is it does not work correctly. It does print part numbers from the detail set (wodetail21) but only one set of part numbers regardless of which record I am on in womaster2.
Is there a simple way to do this? I'm not sure the set method will work as I've implemented it. I was thinking I may need to create a calculated field. Though I know how to create a calculated field, I'm not sure how it would be done to generate the correct number of (varying) detail records so I'd end up with an accurate report.
Any thoughts?
(Sorry the image is so big - it's wasn't intended for the visually impaired...)
